Walk In The Park

Having a 1 1/2 year old son is unquestionably the best thing about my life. Before I was a father, I used to frequently question what I will do with my life, and found myself unsure about so many things. Shortly after my son was born, one thing was clairified. Life is all about having children, and no other path - not money, fame, or power - can be greater. I still question alot, but I know I can never get too far off track because I have already done the greatest thing I can do with my life.

His mother is with her family in New England this week due to the tragic loss of her 24 year old brother, but we are all getting through it. I am, for the first time ever, solely in charge of my son for at least a week. I'm also unemployed at the moment so we are spending every minute together. Its great - a unique sort of vacation that is different from any other Ive ever had. We went to the park today, and I taught him to run the bases at a baseball diamond.

When it comes to being a father, you don't even have to try and everything is perfect. It's a walk in the park.
